- LPI Technical Services received its 460th delivery order under
a contract that provides Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center
(MARMC), Norfolk, VA., with hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E)
installation and emergent repair services on Hampton Roads-based
ships. All orders are executed in compliance with the exacting
Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Standard Items.
LPI Technical Services must respond within two hours of receipt
of an oral or written delivery order.

2006 - LPI Technical Services was awarded a five-year contract
by Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Norfolk,
VA., to repair Naval craft 50 feet or less in length. All orders
are executed in compliance with the exacting Commander, Naval
Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Standard Items.

2006
- LPI Technical Services was awarded a task by NSWCCD SSES to
install a radar-based tank level indicating system in IWO JIMA
(LHD 7). Work was performed at NS Norfolk and within BAE Systems'
Norfolk Ship Repair facility. Tanks included: ballast; distillate
fuel for the ship's boilers; feed water for the ship's boilers;
JP-5 aircraft and boat fuel; potable water.

2006
- LPI Technical Services was awarded a task by NSWCCD SSES to
install radar-based tank level indicators in four boiler feed
water tanks in PELELIU (LHA 5); ship is based at NS San Diego.
June
2006 - LPI Technical Services was awarded
a FFP contract by MARMC to accomplish reconditioning of a Rigid
Inflatable Boat to like-new condition. Support includes the replacement
of engine, fuel system, electrical system, inflatable sponson,
steering and controls, seat base, control console, paint and ancillary
systems.
May
2006 - LPI Technical Services received its

2006
- LPI Technical Services began manufacture of more than 300 self-contained
breathing apparatus (SCBA) shipboard storage lockers for the U.S.
Navy surface forces. Our sophisticated computer-aided design (CAD)
and computer-numeric controlled (CNC) manufacturing capability
are being applied which ensures consistent, high-quality and cost-efficient
results.
October
2005 -
LPI Technical Services commenced and continues the shipboard repair
and maintenance support to the U.S. Coast Guard ranging from simple
ducting repairs to complex main deck sectional replacements and
radar installations. Much of the work was accomplished under stringent
time requirements to support operational commitments.

2005
- LPI Technical Services started and continues to accomplish the
fabrication of custom cabinet, control box and machinery guard
pieces for a printing machine manufacturing company ranging from
$1M-$4.5M systems shipped throughout the world.
July
2004 - LPI
was awarded contract N65540-04-D-0022 with NSWCCD-SSES Philadelphia,
PA for improving and maintaining the Fleet Operational and Material
Readiness of Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Systems
and Equipment through Assessment, Development, Implementation
and Coordination of Fleet Maintenance Technologies. This five-year
$52M contract was competitively awarded and reflects the outstanding
technical and programmatic assistance provided by LPI to the U.S.
Navy under these programs since 1998.

2004
- LPI was awarded contract N00178-04-D-4076 by NSWC Dahlgren,
VA for SeaPort-e support in all seven geographical zones. This
Multiple Award Contract provides for support services for all
phases of naval ship and shipboard weapon systems in areas from
Research and Development, Prototyping, Acquisition Logistics,
Modeling, Test and Evaluation Trials, and Engineering Support
for NAVSEA Headquarters, field activities, warfare centers and
PEOs. The award has a five-year base period with two additional,
five-year award terms.

2004
- The Department of the Navy has awarded LPI an Agreement for
Boat Repair (ABR) N00024-04-H-8768 effective 23 March 2004. Contract
administration functions are assigned to SUPSHIP Portsmouth, VA.
The purpose of the ABR is to provide a contracting vehicle for
the issuance of job orders for boat / craft overhaul / repair
work, and / or selective component; and / or selective ship repair
work. SUPSHIP Portsmouth, VA accomplished a certification survey
in accordance with NAVSEA Instruction 4280.2C and encompassed
the following key areas of the company:

2004
- LPI was awarded contract N62678-04-D-4004 by SUPSHIP Portsmouth,
VA to furnish management, technical services, labor, material,
support services and equipment to accomplish production support
and maintenance onboard U.S. Navy vessels located in the Norfolk,
VA geographic area. This three-year, $5M contract was awarded
to LPI due to our proven capability to respond quickly and efficiently
to emergent request for skilled marine equipment craftsmen.

2003
- LPI was awarded contract N65540-04-C-0015 with NSWCCD-SSES Philadelphia,
PA for fleet operational and material readiness of HM&E systems
through the Phased Maintenance Program, the Material Handling
Equipment Program and Shipboard Closure Refurbishment Program.
This one-year, $2.8M contract was awarded as a follow-on vehicle
and illustrates LPI's effective and quality support provided these
programs over the last six years.

2003
- LPI was awarded contract N62678-04-D-4001by SUPSHIP Portsmouth,
VA for Assault Craft Unit FOUR (ACU-4), Naval Amphibious Base
Little Creek, VA to accomplish non-personal technical management,
administrative and technical services and required specialized
support to accomplish requirements of Fleet Maintenance Plan,
to include installation of craft alterations (CraftAlts), troubleshooting,
repair and maintenance of main and auxiliary systems on U.S. Navy
Air Cushioned Landing Craft (LCAC). This three-year, $5M contract
was awarded to LPI as a follow-on vehicle and demonstrates that
ACU-4 LCAC community, appreciate our work and wish to continue
to utilize LPI as a premier technical support contractor.

2003 -GSA
Contract GS-23F-0344N for Professional Engineering Services. On
29 September 2003, LPI Technical Services was awarded a GSA Contract
(GS-23F-0344N) for Professional Engineering Services. This is
a 5 year contract with a 5 year option. This award is for Mechanical
and Electrical work in the areas of:

April
2003 - On April
29, 2003, LPI was awarded a five-year contract (base year plus
four option years) by SUPSHIP, Portsmouth, VA. to provide emergent
ship repair support to the Commander, Regional Support Group,
Norfolk. The contract has a total potential value of $34.8 million.
Under this contract, LPI provides technical, management, and administrative
services, as well as the necessary materials, tools, equipment,
and facilities, required to accomplish troubleshooting, repair,
and maintenance of HM&E equipment aboard ships afloat or dry-docked
in the greater Tidewater area.

2003
- LPI Technical Services and Q.E.D. Systems, Inc., were honored
with the 2003 Nunn-Perry Award, conferred by the Department of
Defense Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization.
This award recognizes DoD-sponsored mentor-protege teams that
have excelled in technical developments, cost efficiencies, and
increased business opportunities for small disadvantaged firms
(protégés). The DoD's Mentor-Protege Program, which
began in 1991, is a national initiative to encourage large defense
contractors to develop the technical capabilities of small disadvantaged
businesses. LPI and Q.E.D. entered into a Mentor-Protégé
agreement under this Program on April 30, 2001. This is the second
such agreement for the two companies. Under the agreement, Q.E.D.
assisted LPI in establishing a state-of-the-art sheet metal manufacturing
capability, including acquiring the necessary machinery, hiring
skilled personnel, writing control procedures, and conducting
training to operate and maintain the equipment. Additionally,
Q.E.D. supported LPI in acquiring considerable expertise with
the Integrated Condition Assessment System (ICAS), a part of the
SMARTSHIP upgrades being installed on U.S. Navy ships.
